If you’ve never raced the SHAM-walk, you’re in for a treat!  Winners aren’t rewarded based on their actual finish time.  Instead, you’ll get fun prizes based on the finish time you pull out of the lucky leprechaun’s hat at the end of your 5km.  The first time Coach Carmen hosted this event, the walker finishing last picked the winning time, which earned him the Pot-O-Gold chocolate coins!  We’ll have other fun Shamrock-themed prizes such as Lucky Charms, Irish Spring, a shamrock plant, etc., but we’re also adding a chance to win a pair of Reshod Walking Shoes!  If you don’t win a pair of shoes, you’ll have a chance to get a pair at a great price.  All entrants will get special discounts after the race.

Need to get some tips on technique?  Come early and meet Coach Carmen at the start line at 8:30 a.m. for some form suggestions to focus on for your race. The course is an out and back loop.  Bring your own water bottles if you’d like us to hand that to you at the turnaround.
