Summer Track Practice

Walking the same pace every day will likely get you that same pace on race day.  That’s why Coach Carmen offers track practice.  It’s a weekly workout that focuses on shorter, faster intervals to improve leg speed and economy of motion.  You’ll also learn new stretches and have a chance to ask questions about issues that may arise during your training program.  Pushing the pace with other walkers is not the pressure-packed environment you might find on race day.  We keep it fun and low-key.  Athletes frequently encourage each other and offer tips that they’ve learned along the way.  The 12-week summer session begins May 29th and goes through the third week in August.
